Detection of an Antagonist Bound to the Neurokinin a Receptor in Styrene–Maleic Acid Lipid Particles by 19F Ultrafast Magic‐Angle Spinning Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 6, 27 March 2026.
The detection of a fluorinated antagonist bound to the neurokinin A receptor by 19F ultrafast MAS NMR is demonstrated. Therefore, the receptor is purified by detergent‐free extraction by styrene maleic acid copolymer encapsulation and subsequently characterised.

Aberrant SUMOylation Restricts the Targetable Cancer Immunopeptidome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 17, 23 March 2026.
Pharmacological SUMOylation inhibition (SUMOi) counteracts tumor immune evasion by unmasking an immunogenic HLA‐I peptide and neoepitope repertoire. By restoring HLA‐I ligand availability through increased antigen processing and presentation, enhanced proteasomal cleavage, and modulated TAP1 peptide affinity, SUMOi boosts tumor immunogenicity ...

Monitoring Zoo Elephant Rumble Activity Using Combined Seismic and Acoustic Data

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
At the Opel‐Zoo in Germany, we studied elephant rumble activity by recording low‐frequency signals with seismic and infrasound sensors. We detected over 1350 rumbles within 4 weeks that show temporal patterns, demonstrating the benefits of combining both sensing methods.

Clarifying space use concepts in ecology: Range vs. occurrence distributions

open access: yesEcology, Volume 107, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Quantifying animal movements is necessary for answering a wide array of research questions in ecology and conservation biology. Consequently, ecologists have made considerable efforts to identify the best way to estimate an animal's home range, and many methods of estimating home ranges have arisen over the past half a century.
