Influence of Tramadol on the Intravenous Pharmacokinetics of Dipyrone Active Metabolites in Dogs

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Volume 49, Issue 5, Page 457-470, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to compare the pharmacokinetic profile of the active dipyrone metabolites 4‐methylaminoantipyrine (MAA) and 4‐aminoantipyrine (AA) administered alone and in combination with tramadol in dogs. Nine mixed‐breed dogs, weighing 15.33 ± 2.25 kg, participated in a two‐treatment crossover design: G1 received intravenous dipyrone (25 ...

Cellular immune response of Amblyomma sculptum and Amblyomma americanum to entomopathogenic fungi: Implications for biological tick control

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, Volume 40, Issue 3, Page 582-594, September 2026.
Amblyomma sculptum showed a plasmatocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana increased plasmatocytes and reduced granulocytes, whereas Metarhizium robertsii did not cause significant changes. Amblyomma americanum showed a granulocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana reduced total haemocytes and granulocytes. B.

Early Warning Systems and Emergency Declarations During Brazil's Largest Dengue Outbreak

open access: yesTropical Medicine &International Health, Volume 31, Issue 9, Page 1183-1193, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Early warning systems (EWSs) are essential for alert, detection, and response to potential public health emergencies. Brazil's 2024 dengue epidemic, the largest ever recorded, offers a critical case for assessing correspondence between timely epidemic risk detection and health governance responsiveness.

Spatial Distribution and Bioprospecting of Phytopathogenic Fungi on Amaranthus for Biological Control in Brazil

open access: yesWeed Research, Volume 66, Issue 5, September/October 2026.
ABSTRACT The genus Amaranthus comprises approximately 70 species with a global distribution, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. In Brazil, Amaranthus hybridus is a highly harmful weed characterised by aggressive ecophysiology, producing more than 250 000 viable seeds per plant and forming extensive soil seed banks.
