Gold-catalyzed post-Ugi alkyne hydroarylation for the synthesis of 2-quinolones

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
A series of propargylamides containing an electron-rich benzene ring was prepared through the Ugi reaction of 3,5-dimethoxyaniline with various propiolic acids, aldehydes and isocyanides. Subjecting these adducts to a gold-catalyzed intramolecular alkyne

Gold(I)-Catalyzed Aromatization: Expeditious Synthesis of Polyfunctionalized Naphthalenes

open access: yesiScience, 2019
Summary: A gold-catalyzed 6-endo-dig carbocyclization of alkyne with the pendent diazo group is reported. It provides an expeditious approach for the synthesis of multi-functionalized naphthalene derivatives under mild conditions.

An Edible H2O2 Biosensor for Gastrointestinal Metabolites and Peroxidase Enzyme Quantification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We present an edible biosensor for gastric fluid analysis that integrates a caffeic acid–horseradish peroxidase redox system into an edible electrolyte‐gated transistor. The device enables rapid, low‐volume detection of H2O2 and, with minimal modification, metabolites and enzyme activity in simulated gastrointestinal conditions.

Catalytic electrophilic halogenation of silyl-protected and terminal alkynes: trapping gold(I) acetylides vs. a bronsted acid-promoted reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In the presence of a cationic gold(I) catalyst and N-halosuccinimide, both trimethylsilyl-protected and terminal alkynes are converted into alkynyl halides.

Dinuclear Gold Complexes Supported by Wide Bite Angle Diphosphines for Preorganization-Induced Selective Dual-Gold Catalysis

open access: yesInorganics, 2019
The synthesis, reactivity, and potential of well-defined dinuclear gold complexes as precursors for dual-gold catalysis is explored. Using the preorganizing abilities of well-known wide bite angle diphosphine ligands, DBFPhos and DPEPhos, dinuclear Au(I)&
