Gold cyanide ion electroreduction on gold electrode

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 1979
Abstract The gold electrode equilibrium potential and discharge current are determined in solutions containing various KAu(CN)2 and KCN concentrations. From the experimental results and applying the equations proposed by Gerischer [1], it is found that the directly reducible species is AuCN, remaining at equilibrium with Au(CN)2− ions in solution.

Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Cellulose at a Gold Electrode

ChemSusChem, 2014
AbstractThe electrochemical properties of cellulose dissolved in NaOH solution at a Au surface were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, FTIR spectroscopy, the electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance technique, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The reaction products were characterized by SEM, TEM, and FTIR and NMR spectroscopy. The results

Adsorption of Charged Macromolecules at a Gold Electrode

Langmuir, 2004
Using an optical reflectometer with impinging-jet system, the adsorption from aqueous solution onto gold of three charged macromolecules has been studied: the strong linear-chain polyelectrolyte polyvinyl pyridine (PVP(+)), the fifth-generation poly(propylene imine) dendrimer DAB-64, which has a pH-dependent charge and a relatively fixed shape, and the

Voltammetric Behavior of Gold Nanotrench Electrodes

Langmuir, 2011
We report the fabrication and electrochemical response of a gold nanoband electrode located at the bottom of a glass/epoxy nanotrench, hereafter referred to as a gold nanotrench electrode. Gold nanotrench electrodes of 12.5 and 40 nm in width with various depths from a few tens of nanometers to approximately 4 μm are fabricated and further ...

Assembly of pore proteins on gold electrodes

Biochemical Society Transactions, 2001
Protein-protein interactions at the cell surface are important in the activity of bacterial toxins such as colicins. We have developed methods to study these events using tethered lipid bilayers, which can be probed by impedance spectroscopy and surface plasmon resonance.

Immobilization and characterization of ferritin on gold electrode

Ultramicroscopy, 2009
Properties of ferritin, immobilized on dithiobis (N-succinimydyl propionate) (DTSP)-covered gold electrode, in 3-morpholino propanesulfonic acid buffer were investigated by AFM and FE-SEM. Electrochemical properties the ferritin was measured by a cyclic volatammetry. When the potentials of 0.2, 0.34, and 1.0V vs.

Gold Electrodes from Recordable CDs

Analytical Chemistry, 2000
Gold electrodes are widely used in electrochemistry and electroanalytical chemistry. The notable performance when used in stripping analysis of many ionic species and the extraordinary affinity of thio compounds for its surface make these electrodes very suitable for many applications.
