Deep gold prospectivity modeling in the Jiaojia gold belt, Jiaodong Peninsula, eastern China using machine learning of geometric and geodynamic variables

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Gold mineralization in the Jiaojia gold belt was formed in a structurally-dominant hydrothermal mineral system showing a close spatial association with the Jiaojia detachment fault.

Using Bacillus Cereus as a Geo-Biological Marker For Gold Prospecting in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining and Geo-Engineering, 2012
Several methods have been developed for gold exploration in the past, among which biological base method is known to be the most efficient with least expenses. This method can also be used for latent gold prospects exploration.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Deep exploration of Jiaodong type gold deposit, taking Shanhou gold deposit, southern part of Zhaoping fault as an example

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
Crustal response induced by the subduction of Paleo-Pacific Plate, is crucial to study the metallogenic law and prediction of Jiaodong type gold deposit. Gold deposits are preferentially hosted in the lithospheric-scale second-order faults, which provide

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
