Apparent fineness values of gold from two Witwatersrand gold mines

Economic Geology, 1965
Studies of apparent fineness (fineness based on assays of ore rather than of individual particles) from two conglomerates (Ventersdorp Contact and Main Reefs) of the Venterspost and Libanon mines in the Witwatersrand district, South Africa, suggest that the Main Reef cannot be ruled out as a source of the gold in the Ventersdorp Contact Reef, despite ...

A relaxation phenomenon observed in fine gold wire

Solid State Communications, 1974
Abstract Two modulation techniques were used to determine the heat capacity of 1 mil gold wire as a function of temperature. A frequency effect was observed at high temperature in the directly measured parameter C p /(1/ R m ) (d R /d T ) T m where C p is the specific heat at constant pressure and R m is the resistance of the ...

Ultra fine milling for the recovery of refractory gold

Minerals Engineering, 1991
Abstract Refractory gold ores may be defined as those which yield low recoveries of gold when treated by the conventional grinding and cyanidation process. This refractory behaviour can vary from mild to severe with gold recoveries of 85% down to less than 30% [1].

Fine pitch gold ball bonding optimization

Proceedings of 15th IEEE/CHMT International Electronic Manufacturing Technology Symposium, 2002
Response surface methodology is used to characterize a state-of-the-art wire bonder with a bottleneck capillary for fine pitch bonding. Regression analysis generates mathematical models to plot 3-D charts and contour charts of ball size and ball shear force as a function of wire bond parameters.

Fine and ultrafine gold in placers of northeastern Russia

Russian Journal of Pacific Geology, 2008
The main features of the migration and accumulation of fine and ultrafine gold during the evolution of placer-forming processes in northeastern Russia are discussed. The results of loose sediment sampling (over 2000 samples) with a screw separator and strake facilities have been taken into consideration.
