Gold recovery from secondary waste of PCBs by electro-Cl2 leaching in brine solution and solvo-chemical separation with tri-butyl phosphate

, 2021
In the present study, sustainable recycling of gold from the secondary stream of waste printed circuit boards using brine leaching with electro-Cl2 and solvo-chemical strategies was investigated.

Solution chemistry of iodide leaching of gold

Hydrometallurgy, 1993
Abstract The thermodynamic equilibria and kinetic aspects of gold dissolution in iodide electrolytes have been studied with emphasis on the effect of different oxidants on the system. In conjunction with kinetic measurements, the chemix computer program was used to predict the concentration profiles of the predominant species at equilibrium in ...

Thermal decomposition behavior of pyrite in a microwave field and feasibility of gold leaching with generated elemental sulfur from the decomposition of gold-bearing sulfides

Hydrometallurgy, 2018
The flue gases produced in the oxidation roasting process of gold concentrates contain numerous poisonous oxides which limit the widespread industrial application of this pretreatment method.

Gold deportment and leaching study from a pressure oxidation residue of chalcopyrite concentrate

, 2021
Pressure oxidation (POX) is an effective method for base metal extraction and a pretreatment of refractory gold ores. A residue from pressure leaching of chalcopyrite concentrate was collected and investigated for gold recovery and deportment of metals ...

The intensive Leaching of Gold Concentrates Containing Cyanicides [PDF]

open access: possible
The recovery of gold via a gravity circuit is a beneficial and economical process to all operating plants. However the efficiency in this circuit is an important factor to consider. The intensive cyanidation process for treating gravity concentrates is becoming more favourable in the gold processing industry today.

Improvement of thiosulfate stability in gold leaching

Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, 2003
Ammonium thiosulfate is a noncyanide lixiviant for gold leaching. However, the major problem with this leaching method has been the high consumption of reagents. To leach a mild-refractory copper-bearing gold ore, the authors used a reagent combination of 0.3M (NH 4 ) 2 S 2 O 3 , 0.03M CuSO 4 and 3M NH3 at pH 10.2 for 24 hours.

Alternative Leaching Reagents for Gold

1991
Sodium cyanide has been the preponderant leaching reagent for gold due to its excellent extractions from a great variety of ores and its low cost. Although cyanide is poisonous, it has safe industrial and environmental records at the high pH range required in cyanide leaching. In addition, the low concentrations of cyanide used in gold milling and heap

Prospects for underground leaching in gold mines

Journal of Mining Science, 2016
The authors describe experiments on pretreatment of ore by injection of explosive gases before underground leaching of gold in mine conditions. It is shown that injection of explosive gases into opening micro-fractures enhances efficiency of underground leaching owing to microstructural transformation of ore containing dispersed gold.

Effect of galena on thiosulfate leaching of gold

Hydrometallurgy, 2017
Abstract Galena and reference quartz were artificially added into the ammoniacal thiosulfate solution to clarify the role of galena on thiosulfate leaching of gold. The effects of galena on thiosulfate decomposition and gold leaching and the possible effect mechanisms were studied by the thermodynamic calculation, leaching tests, SEM-EDS and XPS ...

Iodide—thiocyanate leaching system for gold

1994
The leaching of gold by thiocyanate solutions is performed at pHs between 1 and 2, which allows the use of iron(III) as an oxidizing agent. The mechanism of dissolution of gold by iron(III)-thiocyanate solutions is directly linked with the autoreduction process, in which FeIII is spontaneously reduced to FeII while oxidizing SCN- This oxidation ...
