Application of alternative lixiviants for secondary heap leaching of gold
Some preliminary results on the secondary leaching of previously heap leached gold ore are presented. Alternative lixiviants for gold comprising chlorine, thiourea and thiosulphate were compared with cyanide using bottle roll tests.

Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

The dissolution of gold colloids in aqueous thiosulfate solutions
The kinetics of the dissolution of gold and silver colloids in ammoniacal thiosulfate solutions has been studied using oxygen, copper(II) or oxygenated copper(II) as oxidants at pH 9 - 11 and temperature 22oC to 48oC.

Effect of sodium carbonate on alkaline self-leaching of gold from flotation gold ore
Oxygen pressure alkaline self-leaching of gold is an environmentally friendly and smokeless leaching process. But the insoluble iron oxide generated will precipitate on the surface of parent minerals, thus reducing the oxidation reaction and gold ...

An innovative thiourea gold leaching process
The aim of this experimental work was devoted to the preliminary evaluation of the feasibility of thiourea leaching for the extraction of gold from a domestic gold-bearing ore 4 grt Au, at laboratory scale. The study has permitted identification of the influence of temperature, leaching agent concentration, pulp density and leaching time on the gold ...

EFFECT OF PRESSURE ON GOLD CYANIDE LEACHING
Although the effect of high oxygen pressure on gold recoveries at elevated slurry temperatures was previously investigated, the sole effect of the pressure at ambient temperatures on cyanide leaching with the presence of nearly enough oxygen for the cyanide reactions to occur has not been found to be studied. This research work was carried out with the
