Linear Programming Optimization of Nutritional and Technological Properties in Wheat Bread Fortified With Taioba (Xanthosoma sagittifolium L.) Leaf Flour

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives This study applied linear programming to optimize taioba (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) leaf flour (TLF) incorporation in wheat bread, balancing nutritional enrichment and technological quality. Findings Breads containing 0%–15% TLF (flour basis) were produced and evaluated for composition, dough expansion, specific ...

Effects of Dehulling and Extrusion‐Cooking on the Nutritional and Physicochemical Properties of Navy Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Flours

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
Dehulling combined with twin‐screw extrusion improves the nutritional and functional properties of steam treated navy beans. Protein digestibility increases while phytic acid is reduced by 43% and trypsin inhibitors are inactivated. Enhanced expansion, solubility, and sensory quality highlight the potential of dehulled bean flours for developing ...

Catalyst‐Free Selective Reduction of Nitrogen Dioxide to Nitric Oxide

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Common main group reductants selectively convert nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide in a catalyst‐free manner. Computational studies suggest divergent reaction pathways depending on the reductant employed. Where boranes and silanes proceed via a two‐electron process, and hydrogen surrogates undergo stepwise one‐electron processes.

Does ESG Uncertainty Matter for Renewable and Nonrenewable Energy Consumption? Policy Implications in the Context of SDG 7 and SDG 13

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the discourse on environmental sustainability and energy security, energy management is an inevitable policy issue that requires research‐based solutions. Based on this, the present study contributes by examining the impact of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) uncertainty on energy consumption patterns in the USA from 2002 to 2024.

The Interplay of ESG Performance and Global Supply Chains: An Input–Output Study of China, Japan, and the United States

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how supply‐chain dependencies are associated with industry‐level ESG performance trajectories in China, Japan, and the United States over the period 2000–2021. Drawing on stakeholder and institutional theories, we adopt a meso‐level perspective that conceptualizes industries as structural units embedded within national ...

Photothermal bubble: Dynamics, manipulation, and applications

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
As a versatile platform for bubble manipulation, photothermal techniques empower diverse operations: planar translation by scanning the laser spot, sustained periodic bouncing from competing thermal and hydrodynamic flows, and even guided 3D trajectories achieved by tailoring the heating configuration.
