Gold Abundance in Igneous Rocks; bearing on Gold Mineralization

Economic Geology, 1973
Review of quantitative data, restricted range in gold content (rarely more than 10 ppb, generally below 5 ppb), mafic rocks have more, so do early crystallizing minerals, no use in exploration, factors other than concentration determine mineralization ...

Mineralizer constraint on gold mineralization of Ailaoshan gold belt

Science in China, Series D: Earth Sciences, 1998
After determining that sulfur is the main mineralizer of ore-forming fluid of Ailaoshan gold mineralization belt in west Yunnan Province of China, the S, He and Ar isotope compositions and geological events related to gold mineralization are studied.

The Epidemiology of Tuberculosis in Gold Miners with Silicosis

American journal of respiratory and critical care medicine, 1994
Abstract The elevated risk of tuberculosis in subjects with silicosis is widely accepted but has not been quantified in a population with a high prevalence of tuberculosis. In this study, a cohort of 1,153 older gold miners with and without silicosis who had not had tuberculosis have been followed for 7 yr by a routine mine ...

Gold mineralization at the Golden Blocks gold field

1978
In the Golden Blocks area, vein-type gold and sparse sulphide mineralization occur in slightly metamorphosed, complexly deformed, Lower Ordovician sandstones and mudstones. Primary gold mineralization is associated with quartz veins in deformation zones occurring near the contacts of several carbonaceous mudstones.

The host minerals of native gold

Economic Geology, 1944
An intensive review of the literature as well as microscopic study of many ores shows that gold occurs most frequently in direct contact with the following ore minerals in the order named: pyrite, arsenopyrite, galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, bismuth minerals, pyrrhotite, tetrahedrite-tennantite.

Mineral Paragenesis of the Lepanto Copper and Gold and the Victoria Gold Deposits, Mankayan Mineral District, Philippines

Resource Geology, 2001
Abstract: Mineral paragenesis of the alteration, ore and gangue minerals of the Lepanto epithermal copper‐gold deposit and the Victoria gold deposit, Mankayan Mineral District, Northern Luzon, Philippines, is discussed. The principal ore minerals of the Lepanto copper‐gold deposit are enargite and luzonite, with significant presence of tennantite ...
