Abstract The Hishikari high-grade low-sulfidation epithermal gold deposit is located in the Hokusatsu district, about 30 km north of the Kagoshima International Airport, Kagoshima Prefecture (Fig. 1). In early 1981, a narrow (15 cm) but high-grade (290 g/t Au) vein was discovered 200 m below the surface by the Metal Mining Agency of ...

Clay mineral-supported gold nanoparticles
Applied Clay Science, 2009Abstract Supported gold nanoparticles were prepared on clay minerals from the smectite and sepiolite–palygorskite groups (particularly montmorillonite and sepiolite) by cation adsorption from the cationic gold precursor Au(en) 2 Cl 3 (en = ethylenediamine). Thermal gravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high

Mineralizer constraint on gold mineralization of Ailaoshan gold belt
Science in China, Series D: Earth Sciences, 1998After determining that sulfur is the main mineralizer of ore-forming fluid of Ailaoshan gold mineralization belt in west Yunnan Province of China, the S, He and Ar isotope compositions and geological events related to gold mineralization are studied.

Mineralization of gold in block copolymer micelles
Macromolecular Symposia, 1997AbstractUltrasmall gold particles have been prepared inside the micelles of polystyrene‐block‐poly(ethylene oxide) and polystyrene‐block‐poly(2‐vinylpyridine) in toluene. Starting point was the formation of a thermodynamically stable dispersion of HAuCl4 or LiAuCl4 in the inverse micelles of the block copolymer which were treated with hydrazine or ...

Pulmonary Tuberculosis in South African Gold Miners
American Review of Respiratory Disease, 1989In 1977, a comprehensive tuberculosis management program was introduced at a medical facility which then served approximately 65,000 black gold miners. The effectiveness of this program was evaluated from the relapse rate after treatment in 2,776 men. Post-treatment follow-up averaged 23.5 months.

Gold Abundance in Igneous Rocks; bearing on Gold Mineralization
Economic Geology, 1973Review of quantitative data, restricted range in gold content (rarely more than 10 ppb, generally below 5 ppb), mafic rocks have more, so do early crystallizing minerals, no use in exploration, factors other than concentration determine mineralization ...

Gold mineralization at the Golden Blocks gold field
1978In the Golden Blocks area, vein-type gold and sparse sulphide mineralization occur in slightly metamorphosed, complexly deformed, Lower Ordovician sandstones and mudstones. Primary gold mineralization is associated with quartz veins in deformation zones occurring near the contacts of several carbonaceous mudstones.
