Immobilization of oxidoreductases on gold and silver nanoparticles
Nanoparticles of silver and gold were synthesized by chemical methods. Nanoparticles of silver were obtained by reducing of silvernitrate with glucose and nanoparticles of gold – by reducing of tetrachloroauric acid trihydrate with sodium citrate or boro

Photoswitchable NIR‐Emitting Gold Nanoparticles [PDF]
AbstractPhoto‐switching of the NIR emission of gold nanoparticles (GNP) upon photo‐isomerization of azobenzene ligands, bound to the surface, is demonstrated. Photophysical results confirm the occurrence of an excitation energy transfer process from the ligands to the GNP that produces sensitized NIR emission.

Gold Nanoparticles as Absolute Nanothermometers [PDF]
Nanothermometry is a challenging field that can open the door to intriguing questions ranging from biology and medicine to material sciences. Gold nanorods are excellent candidates to act as nanoprobes because they are reasonably bright emitters upon excitation with a monochromatic source. Gold nanoparticles are commonly used in photothermal therapy as
