Nanoparticles in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry: From Mechanisms to Clinical Applications

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Nanotechnology holds significant promise in improving dental care, yet there is a need for more reliable clinical studies to validate its effectiveness and safety. ABSTRACT Recent advances in nanotechnology are reshaping the landscape of periodontology and implant dentistry, particularly through the application of nanoparticles (NPs).

Engineered surface strategies to manage dental implant‐related infections

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract When exposed to the oral environment, dental implants, like natural surfaces, become substrates for microbial adhesion and accumulation, often leading to implant‐related infections—one of the main causes of implant failure. These failures impose significant costs on patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems.

A Roadmap to 30.5% Efficiency in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells Using 3D Finite Element Analysis of CuSCN@GeSe Core‐Shell and CeO2 Electron Transport Layer Optimization

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
This work demonstrates a roadmap to 30.5% efficiency in all‐perovskite tandem solar cells through 3D finite element analysis. By integrating a novel CuSCN@GeSe core–shell nanostructure and optimizing the CeO2 electron transport layer, the design achieves reduced recombination.

Highly Stable and Minimally Pt‐Loaded Multiporous Bimetallic Matryoshka Heterostructures for Efficient Hydrogen Evolution Reaction via pH‐Dependent Mechanistic Decoupling

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Highly uniform, multi‐porous Au–Pt Matryoshka heterostructures were synthesized via a facile galvanic replacement reaction using Au@Ag coreshells as sacrificial templates. By precisely tuning the Au/Pt composition, the catalysts were optimized for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), exhibiting outstanding efficiency and ultra‐high stability in both ...

MXene‐Enabled Wearable Biosensors: A Design Framework for Autonomous Biosensing

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Bridging nanoscale innovation with MXene to real‐time, patient‐centered health systems. MXenes, a rapidly expanding family of two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, have emerged as leading materials for wearable bioelectronics due to their metallic conductivity, termination‐rich surfaces, mechanical compliance, and tunable interlayer ...
