Effect of Hyaluronic Acid on Palatal Wound Healing—A Randomized Crossover Clinical Trial

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To assess the effect of a hyaluronic acid (HyA) containing gel on patient‐related outcomes (PRO) and wound healing after palatal punch‐biopsy representing a free gingival graft. Material and Methods A punch‐biopsy (6 mm diameter, 2 mm thickness) was harvested from one side of the palate at Day 0 and from the contralateral side at Day 21 ...

The Accuracy of Frozen Section Histopathology in the Rapid Diagnosis of Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reactions: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Frozen section analysis enables rapid diagnosis, but its diagnostic accuracy in the setting of severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCARs) remains poorly defined. Methods A systematic review and meta‐analysis were performed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of frozen sections in the rapid identification of SCARs, with a focus on

S1 guideline sweat gland carcinoma

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary The current classification of sweat gland carcinomas is based on histomorphological characteristics and distinguishes between more than 20 entities. Most patients are older, but some subtypes also affect middle‐aged and younger patients. The majority of tumors arise de novo. Sweat gland carcinomas have nonspecific clinical features.

The R203W substitution drives PACS‐1 syndrome by disrupting intramolecular regulation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The middle region (MR) of PACS‐1 controls engagement with specific partner proteins. This manuscript presents the structure of the Furin binding region (FBR) and how interactions with partners are regulated through the interplay between a basic patch in the FBR and an acidic cluster in the MR.

The application of machine learning models to optimal TSP tour length estimation

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, EarlyView.
Abstract The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a well‐known NP‐hard problem in combinatorial optimization, with numerous applications in logistics and elsewhere. This paper introduces a machine learning‐based approach to estimate the optimal tour length of the TSP, using linear regression, random forests (RF), and neural networks, including ...
