Comparison of the Challenger Digital Applanation Tonometer and the Goldmann Applanation Tonometer
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1986We compared the Challenger electronic tonometer to the Goldmann applanation tonometer in 70 eyes without corneal abnormalities. There was a good overall correlation between the two machines. Correlations between interobserver readings were excellent, demonstrating that obtaining reproducible measurements is possible with either machine.

Assessment of a new Goldmann applanation tonometer
British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2011The classic Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) has been further developed by Haag-Streit International. The applanation principle has been retained, while the internal force transmission and the pressure gauging have been optimised, the display of results digitised.

Comparison of the Tono-Pen to the Goldmann Applanation Tonometer
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1988Oculab Tono-Pen tonometry was compared with Goldmann applanation tonometry in 142 eyes of 71 patients without corneal problems. Overall we found 63% of the Tono-Pen readings to be within +/- 2 mm Hg of the Goldmann applanation tonometry readings and 77% to be within +/- 3 mm Hg, while 4% were within at least +/- 7 mm Hg difference.

Comparison of ICare Tonometer with Goldmann Applanation Tonometer in Glaucoma Patients
Journal of Glaucoma, 2006To compare the intraocular pressure (IOP) readings taken with the new ICare tonometer and with the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and to evaluate the influence of central corneal thickness (CCT) on the IOP measurements. One eye of 178 consecutive patients with primary open-angle glaucoma underwent ultrasonic CCT measurement, followed by IOP ...

Variability in the Calibration Error of the Goldmann Applanation Tonometer
Journal of Glaucoma, 2011To investigate the variability in the measured calibration error with continued usage of Goldmann applanation tonometers (GATs) having unacceptable calibration error. The study included 132 slit-lamp mounted Goldmann tonometers (Model AT 900 C/M; Haag-Streit, Switzerland).

Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2023To evaluate the relationship between the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and the iCare PRO and iCare IC200 tonometers in measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) in adult eyes with a diagnosis of glaucoma or glaucoma suspect. One hundred and one eyes from 101 participants diagnosed with glaucoma or glaucoma suspect were evaluated in this study. IOP was

Comparison of the rebound tonometer with the Goldmann applanation tonometer in glaucoma patients
Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology, 2007AbstractPurpose: To determine the agreement between the measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP) by the rebound tonometer (RBT) and by the Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and to find out the effect of central corneal thickness (CCT) values on IOP measurements in glaucoma patients. Methods: IOP was measured with the RBT and GAT, respectively, in ...

Clinical Comparison of the Icare Tonometer and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
Journal of Glaucoma, 2008To compare a new method of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, using the Icare tonometer, with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT).Two observers obtained IOP readings in 292 eyes (143 right and 149 left) of 153 subjects, using the Icare without topical anesthetic. A GAT reading was subsequently obtained by a consultant ophthalmologist, without the
