Clinical Evaluation of Applanation Resonance Tonometry
Journal of Glaucoma, 2007The purpose of this study was to calibrate and evaluate the precision of the new applanation resonance tonometry (ART) in a clinical study designed in accordance with the International Standard Organization's requirements. This was a prospective, randomized, single-center study, where healthy volunteers and patients participated.

COMPARISON OF NONCONTACT TONOMETRY, GOLDMANN APPLANATION TONOMETRY WITH AND WITHOUT FLUORESCEIN
INDIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH, 2022Aims: This study aimed to compare the Intraocular Pressure (IOP) measurements with noncontact tonometer and Goldmann Applanation Tonometer with and without uorescein. Settings And Design: This cross-sectional study included 61 eyes attending the Ophthalmology Outpatient Department of a tertiary care hospital in South India.

Even-number Measurement Bias With Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
Journal of Glaucoma, 2019While working with a large data set of Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements for a separate investigation, we observed that the IOP distribution favored even-numbered values. Study of this phenomenon has been limited, and this larger data set enabled inquiry that showed new insight concerning the manner in which ...

Effect of laser in situ keratomileusis on rebound tonometry and Goldmann applanation tonometry
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2010To determine the influence of refractive surgery on intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements obtained using an iCare rebound tonometer and a Goldmann applanation tonometer.School of Optometry, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China.Intraocular pressure was measured using the rebound tonometer and applanation tonometer before and 1 month ...

Goldmann Applanation Tonometry Versus Dynamic Contour Tonometry After Vitrectomy
Journal of Glaucoma, 2016Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate the agreement of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement using dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in eyes after vitrectomy with intraocular gas endotamponade, in eyes after vitrectomy with no tamponade, and in controls.

A Clinical Comparison of Dynamic Contour Tonometry Versus Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2010Background and Objective: To compare the intraocular pressures (IOP) obtained with dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and to determine the dependency of both devices on corneal structure.

Journal of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, 2015
We report the results of a comparative study at a single center on 214 eyes of 109 pediatric patients in whom IOP was measured using the Icare rebound tonometer and Goldmann applanation tonometry. Measurements from the two modalities demonstrated a correlation coefficient of 0.83 (P < 0.001), with Icare measuring on average 1.38 mm Hg higher.

Goldmann Applanation Tonometry in Patients with Regular Corneal Astigmatism
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1983By averaging vertical and horizontal applanation readings from the Goldmann tonometer, we developed a simple technique that accurately measures intraocular pressure in patients with regular corneal astigmatism. This procedure eliminates the need for keratometry and oblique alignment of the applanator.

'Minified' Goldmann Applanating Prism for Tonometry in Monkeys and Humans
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1980The tip diameter of the standard Goldmann applanating prism was reduced from 7.0 mm to 4.0 or 4.5 mm, but the endpoint of intraocular pressure measurement-applanation of a circle of cornea having a diameter of 3.06 mm-was not changed. The "minified" tonometers exhibited standard mechanical calibration characteristics in three standard configurations ...

Clinical Comparison of the Icare Tonometer and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry
Journal of Glaucoma, 2008To compare a new method of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, using the Icare tonometer, with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT).Two observers obtained IOP readings in 292 eyes (143 right and 149 left) of 153 subjects, using the Icare without topical anesthetic. A GAT reading was subsequently obtained by a consultant ophthalmologist, without the
