Clinical Evaluation of Applanation Resonance Tonometry

Journal of Glaucoma, 2007
The purpose of this study was to calibrate and evaluate the precision of the new applanation resonance tonometry (ART) in a clinical study designed in accordance with the International Standard Organization's requirements. This was a prospective, randomized, single-center study, where healthy volunteers and patients participated.

Comparison of Dynamic Contour Tonometry and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry in Keratoconus

Cornea, 2011
We performed a comparative study using Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) in eyes with keratoconus.IOP was measured in 114 eyes of 75 patients with keratoconus (51 men and 24 women; mean age, 36.1 ± 11.2 years) using GAT and DCT in randomized order.

Goldmann applanation versus hand-applanation and Schitz indentation tonometry

Albrecht von Graefes Archiv fr Klinische und Experimentelle Ophthalmologie, 1975
For evaluation of hand-applanation tonometry comparative measurements of intraocular pressure have been carried out using the Goldmann applanation tonometer, the Draeger and Perkins hand-applanation tonometers and the Schiötz indentation tonometer. A series of 52 eyes has been tested.

Clinical Comparison of the Icare Tonometer and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry

Journal of Glaucoma, 2008
To compare a new method of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement, using the Icare tonometer, with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT).Two observers obtained IOP readings in 292 eyes (143 right and 149 left) of 153 subjects, using the Icare without topical anesthetic. A GAT reading was subsequently obtained by a consultant ophthalmologist, without the

Tono-Pen versus Goldmann Applanation Tonometry: A Comparison of 898 Eyes.

Ophthalmology Glaucoma, 2019
To compare the agreement in intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements obtained with the Tono-Pen (Reichert, Inc, Depew, NY) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). The influence of central corneal thickness (CCT) on IOP agreement between the 2 tonometry methods also was evaluated.Database study.A total of 898 patients from the Research, Innovation and ...

Goldmann Applanation Tonometry in Patients with Regular Corneal Astigmatism

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1983
By averaging vertical and horizontal applanation readings from the Goldmann tonometer, we developed a simple technique that accurately measures intraocular pressure in patients with regular corneal astigmatism. This procedure eliminates the need for keratometry and oblique alignment of the applanator.

'Minified' Goldmann Applanating Prism for Tonometry in Monkeys and Humans

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1980
The tip diameter of the standard Goldmann applanating prism was reduced from 7.0 mm to 4.0 or 4.5 mm, but the endpoint of intraocular pressure measurement-applanation of a circle of cornea having a diameter of 3.06 mm-was not changed. The "minified" tonometers exhibited standard mechanical calibration characteristics in three standard configurations ...

Effect of laser in situ keratomileusis on rebound tonometry and Goldmann applanation tonometry

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2010
To determine the influence of refractive surgery on intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements obtained using an iCare rebound tonometer and a Goldmann applanation tonometer.School of Optometry, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China.Intraocular pressure was measured using the rebound tonometer and applanation tonometer before and 1 month ...

Effect of central corneal thickness on intraocular pressure and comparison of Topcon CT‐80 non‐contact tonometry with Goldmann applanation tonometry

Clinical and experimental optometry, 2018
To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements obtained with the Topcon CT‐80 non‐contact tonometer (NCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT), in different ranges of IOP in normal and glaucoma subjects, and to assess the influence of central ...
