Comparison of Biomechanically Corrected Intraocular Pressure Obtained by Corvis ST and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry in Patients With Open-angle Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension

Journal of glaucoma, 2019
Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text. Precis: Biomechanically corrected intraocular pressure (bIOP) measurements provided by the new Corvis ST (CST) were higher than measurements obtained with Goldman applanation tonometry (GAT) in eyes ...

A Clinical Comparison of Dynamic Contour Tonometry Versus Goldmann Applanation Tonometry

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2010
Background and Objective: To compare the intraocular pressures (IOP) obtained with dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and to determine the dependency of both devices on corneal structure.

Comparison of the Icare rebound tonometry with the Goldmann applanation tonometry in a pediatric population

Journal of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, 2015
We report the results of a comparative study at a single center on 214 eyes of 109 pediatric patients in whom IOP was measured using the Icare rebound tonometer and Goldmann applanation tonometry. Measurements from the two modalities demonstrated a correlation coefficient of 0.83 (P < 0.001), with Icare measuring on average 1.38 mm Hg higher.

Dynamic contour tonometry versus Goldmann applanation tonometry: a comparative study

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2005
Various sources of error, including central corneal thickness (CCT) and structural corneal rigidity, have been proposed for Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT). The Pascal dynamic contour tonometer (DCT) is a novel device designed for intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements assumed to be largely independent of CCT and corneal curvature.

Comparison of Scleral Tono-Pen Intraocular Pressure Measurements with Goldmann Applanation Tonometry.

Optometry and Vision Science, 2018
SIGNIFICANCE Measuring the intraocular pressure (IOP) on the sclera can be an alternative to conventional corneal measurement in eyes with scarred corneas. However, these measurements have to be evaluated prior in normal eyes. Our study aimed to evaluate

Digit Preference in Goldmann Applanation Tonometry: The Hedgehog Effect

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 2005
Digit preference is a subconscious bias towards numbers that end in certain digits. We conducted a study to assess for digit preference in intraocular pressure measurement using the Goldmann applanation tonometer.Prospective study with masked and unmasked phases. The study was conducted in general ophthalmic clinics in a District General Hospital in ...

Comparative evaluation of TonoPen AVIA, Goldmann applanation tonometry and non-contact tonometry

International Ophthalmology, 2011
To compare the tonometric recordings of the Tono-Pen AVIA (TPA) with intraocular pressure (IOP) recordings made with Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) and non-contact tonometry (NCT). This prospective, observational, comparative case series consisted of 180 eyes of 180 subjects (50 patients with glaucoma and 130 healthy controls).

Goldmann Applanation Tonometry versus Dynamic Contour Tonometry after Vitrectomy with Silicone Oil Endotamponade

Current Eye Research, 2017
Purpose: To evaluate the agreement of intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in eyes after vitrectomy with silicone oil endotamponade and controls.
