Validation of the EYEMATE‐SC Suprachoroidal Pressure Transducer for Telemetric Measurement of Intraocular Pressure in Normal Ex Vivo Canine and Equine Globes—Preliminary Results

open access: yesVeterinary Ophthalmology, Volume 28, Issue 5, Page 866-870, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine the accuracy of the EYEMATE‐SC suprachoroidal tracer for telemetric tonometry in canine and equine globes. Procedures The EYEMATE‐SC sensor (7.8 mm × 3.8 mm × 1 mm) was implanted in the suprachoroidal space of four freshly enucleated normal canine and two normal equine eyes.

Coupled Biomechanical Response of the Cornea Assessed by Non-Contact Tonometry. A Simulation Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The mechanical response of the cornea subjected to a non-contact air-jet tonometry diagnostic test represents an interplay between its geometry, the corneal material behavior and the loading.

Pressure-Induced Stromal Keratopathy after Surface Ablation Surgery

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology
Introduction: The purpose of this clinical report was to describe an unprecedented case of bilateral pressure-induced stromal keratopathy (PISK) following corneal photorefractive keratectomy, associated with presumed herpetic keratitis, and to present ...

Influence of artificial tears on corneal parameter measurement using three different devices: Keratometry and Scheimpflug technology, a randomized trial

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 103, Issue 5, Page e310-e317, August 2025.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the effect of artificial tear (AT) application on the repeatability of corneal parameters with three different devices. Methods In this prospective, randomized clinical trial, 145 patients were measured with one of three devices in the Department of Ophthalmology, Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.

Long‐Term Morphological Changes of Crosslinked Gelatin Stent

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Ophthalmology, Volume 53, Issue 6, Page 611-618, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Background This study investigates the long‐term morphological outcomes of crosslinked gelatin stents over a 10‐year period. Methods Participants from the FDA phase 1 and 2 trials for the XEN 140 stent were recalled for follow‐up examinations between 9 and 12 years after their initial implantation.

Goldmann and modified Goldmann tonometry measuring intraocular pressure changes in eyes which underwent myopic laser in situ Keratomileusis and photorefractive keratectomy

open access: yesBMC Ophthalmology, 2022
Purpose Compare intraocular pressure (IOP) measured by a standard Goldmann applanation tonometer prism (IOPg) and a modified correcting applanation tonometer surface Goldmann prism (IOPc) before and after laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and ...

Detecting Glaucoma in Highly Myopic Eyes From Fundus Photographs Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Ophthalmology, Volume 53, Issue 5, Page 502-515, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Background High myopia (HM) is a major risk factor for glaucoma. However, glaucomatous optic neuropathy is often undiagnosed owing to atypical structural alterations with axial elongation. Moreover, an algorithm to detect glaucoma in highly myopic eyes has not yet been reported.
