Prediction of Human Serum Concentration–Time Profiles of Golimumab and Ustekinumab Using Pharmacokinetic Data From Common Marmosets With Assessment of Anti‐Drug Antibodies

open access: yesBiopharmaceutics &Drug Disposition, EarlyView.
This study identified new optimal allometric scaling exponents for human PK prediction of monoclonal antibodies with linear PKs from marmoset PK data. In addition, immunogenicity in common marmosets was evaluated following the repeated dose of golimumab and ustekinumab, minimal anti‐drug antibodies were detected.

Novel Organelle‐Based Intracellular Immunity With Mechanistic and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesBarrier Immunity, EarlyView.
A conceptual framework illustrating how PAMPs/DAMPs initiate barrier, innate, adaptive, and intracellular immune responses, with organelle‐based intracellular immunity serving as a central integrator linking metabolism, inflammatory signaling, and therapeutic interventions to restore immune homeostasis.

Will savings from biosimilars offset increased costs related to dose escalation? A comparison of infliximab and golimumab for rheumatoid arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Research & Therapy, 2019
Introduction Biosimilar infliximab has the potential for appreciable cost savings compared to its reference biologic, but dose escalation is common and increases costs.

Beyond Gut Modulation: A Critical Review of the Therapeutic Potential, Safety, and Clinical Prospects of Natural Polysaccharides for IBD

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
In this review, we critically summarized the application of natural polysaccharides (NPs) for the treatment of IBD. This approach combines, in a unique way (right), the basic structure–activity relationships of NPs from different origins (left) with their multipronged mode of action, which involves modulation of the gut microbiota and other ...

Long‐term outcomes of children with ulcerative colitis after acute severe colitis: A GETAID pédiatrique multicenter study

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Acute severe colitis (ASC) is a frequent and severe complication of ulcerative colitis (UC) with a high risk of colectomy. Effects of immunosuppressants and anti–tumor necrosis factor (anti‐TNF) agents on the risk of colectomy remain debated. We wished to study the evolution of French pediatric‐onset UC patients after ASC.

Efficacy of Ozoralizumab vs. Golimumab for Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Systematic Review

open access: yesCurrent Internal Medicine Research and Practice Surabaya Journal
Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis, a systemic autoimmune disease, affects 13% of the world population. As a well-established therapy, golimumab provides a key benchmark for assessing novel biological treatments.

A case of idiopathic necrotizing scleritis with secondary glaucoma treated successfully with golimumab and Ahmed valve implantation

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
A 52-year-old woman presented with idiopathic active scleritis not responding to oral cyclophosphamide, azathioprine, and oral steroid. Her intraocular pressure in the left eye was 45 mm of Hg in spite of using combination of brinzolamide 1% and ...

Mesenchymal stromal cell therapy for rheumatoid arthritis: Long‐term efficacy, safety, and mechanistic insights

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract summarizing the multifactorial pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and the therapeutic potential of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) therapy. MSCs provide promising benefits through their immunomodulatory properties, low immunogenicity, ability to promote tissue repair, and multi‐lineage differentiation, presenting a potential ...
