Diversity and Similarity Gomphocerinae (Orthoptera: Acrididae) Communities in the Brazilian Amazon

open access: yesResearch, Society and Development, 2021
Inventories of Amazon invertebrates are relatively incipient and fragmented. The state of Amapá is one of the Amazonian states with a large knowledge gap regarding invertebrate biodiversity. Also, there is no record in the literature of systematic studies that focus mainly on the Acridofauna.

Methane yield and species diversity dynamics of perennial wild plant mixtures established alone, under cover crop maize (Zea mays L.), and after spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 11, Issue 11, Page 1376-1391, November 2019., 2019
The cultivation of perennial wild plant mixtures (WPMs) as biogas substrate combines the production of biomass with the provision of ecosystem services. However, the methane yield per hectare (MYH) is low compared to other biogas crops such as maize and cup plant.

Local climate determines intra- and interspecific variation in sexual size dimorphism in mountain grasshopper communities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The climate is often evoked to explain broad-scale clines of body size, yet its involvement in the processes that generate size inequality in the two sexes (sexual size dimorphism) remains elusive.

Taking stock after 6 years—The first results of an ongoing project to establish new populations of a regionally endangered grasshopper Számvetés az első hat év után—egy regionálisan veszélyeztetett sáskafaj új populációinak létrehozását célzó projekt első eredményei

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 18, Issue 5, Page 834-841, September 2025.
A conservation programme started in 2018 to establish new populations of the regionally endangered large banded grasshopper (Arcyptera fusca) in two mountain ranges in Hungary, Central Europe. Between 2018 and 2024, individuals were translocated to five mountain meadows from nearby populations by single or repeated translocations.
