Abstract Objective In the present study, a bidirectional two‐sample Mendelian randomization approach was utilized to explore potential causal relationships between mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNA‐CN) and ovary‐related reproductive disorders (ORRDs), including ovarian dysfunction, ovarian cyst, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian ...

Pelvic venous disorders in women: Diagnosis and management for gynecologists
Abstract Pelvic venous disorders (PeVD) are an underrecognized yet significant cause of chronic pelvic pain (CPP) in reproductive‐aged women, characterized by venous reflux, obstruction, or both. This clinical opinion provides a practical overview of PeVD for gynecologists, outlining its pathophysiology, common presentations, diagnostic approach, and ...

Decidual macrophage‐mediated ferroptosis in trophoblasts leads to recurrent spontaneous abortion
Decidual macrophages from recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) patients promote trophoblast ferroptosis and impair trophoblast cell function. Mechanistically, the CXCL2/NF‐κB/HMOX1 axis mediates this effect. Conversely, trophoblasts co‐cultured with RSA decidual macrophages induce pro‐inflammatory macrophage polarization through IL‐6/JAK2/STAT3 ...

Pubertal Development as a Marker of Gonadal Neoplasm in 46XY Complete Gonadal Dysgenesis
46XY Complete Gonadal Dysgenesis (CGD), also known as Swyer syndrome, is characterized by nonfunctional streak gonads and an increased risk of gonadal neoplasms. While spontaneous puberty is not expected, hormonally active gonadal tumors can mimic normal puberty delaying diagnosis. We present two adolescents with 46XY CGD and tumor-driven puberty: a 16 ...

Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.
