2015A. lixula ve P. lividus Akdeniz’de subtidal kıyısal alanlarda birlikte yaşarlar. P. lividus belirgin tadı ve aroması nedeniyle tüketimde tercih edilen türdür. Gonadları sos, krema, çorba ve omlet içinde taze olarak tüketilir. P. lividus ‘un gonad gelişimi Şubat ve Mayıs (% 8.84 ve % 8.97) aylarında maksimum olmuştur.
