Bifenthrin Under Scrutiny: Revisiting Toxicological Evidence Amid Regulatory Gaps

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 61-77, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite growing health concerns, bifenthrin (BF) remains widely used for controlling agricultural and residential pests. Glial Cells Missing 1 Regulates Equine Chorionic Gonadotrophin Beta Subunit via Binding to the Proximal Promoter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Equine chorionic gonadotrophin (eCG) is a placental glycoprotein critical for early equine pregnancy and used therapeutically in a number of species to support reproductive activity. The factors in trophoblast that transcriptionally regulate eCGβ-subunit

A Comparative Analysis of Intratesticular Versus Intra‐Epididymal Injections of Clove Essential Oil on Male Dog Sterilization

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study evaluated clove essential oil as a non‐surgical sterilant in male dogs. Both intratesticular and intra‐epididymal injections significantly reduced sperm concentration, motility and viability, with histological and sonographic evidence of reproductive tissue damage.

Improving the reproductive performance of the Muturu breed of cattle in Nigeria using modified Ovsynch and progesterone synchronization protocol : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the degree of Master of Science in Animal Science, Institute of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The Ovsynch protocol has been used in cattle to synchronize ovulation and facilitate fixed-time AI (FTAI) but its efficacy has not been evaluated in the Nigerian Muturu breed of B. indicus cattle. The effects of a modified Ovsynch protocol (modified by

Comprehensive Analysis of PAPPA2 Expression and Genetic Variants in Sheep and Their Association With Litter Size

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The PAPPA2 gene encodes a metalloproteinase critical for regulating insulin‐like growth factor (IGF) bioavailability through cleavage of insulin‐like growth factor‐binding protein 5 (IGFBP5). While its role in human and murine reproduction is documented, its function in sheep reproductive traits remains underexplored. Objective This

Low levels of follicle-stimulating hormone receptor-activation inhibitors in serum and follicular fluid from normal controls and anovulatory patients with or without polycystic ovary syndrome [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
In patients with normogonadotropic anovulation, either with or without polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), factors interfering with FSH action may be involved in arrested follicle development.

Dietary Effects of Moringa oleifera on Table Egg Parameters of Hybrid Layers

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT The study aimed to determine the effects of Moringa oleifera powder (MOP) on the production performance and egg quality of Hyline hens. A total of 48 twenty‐six‐week‐old Hyline commercial hens were randomly allocated to two treatments of 24 birds each, housed in six cages in a completely randomized design with cage as the experimental unit (n =

Gonadotropin Concentrations, Follicular Development, and Luteal Function in Pituitary Stalk-transfected Ewes Treated with Bovine Follicular Fluid [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Two experiments, each arranged as a 2 x 2 factorial, were conducted in ewes to examine direct effects of bovine follicular fluid (bFF) on follicular development and luteal function and to further characterize follicular development and luteal function ...
