Changes in nervous system with age are responsible for reduced muscle force‐generating capacity (i.e., MVC). This meta‐analysis reveals that older adults exhibited lower resting corticospinal excitability and ICF, coupled with prolonged CSP and lower MVC, compared to younger adults.
