Relationships in Large-Scale Graph Computing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In 2009 Grzegorz Czajkowski from Google's system infrastructure team has published an article which didn't get much attention in the SEO community at the time. It was titled "Large-scale graph computing at Google" and gave an excellent insight into the future of Google's search.

Insights into the Dynamics and Binding Mechanisms of the Alkhumra Virus NS2B/NS3 Protease: A Molecular Dynamics Study

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
The ΔRMSF$\Delta {\rm RMSF}$ analysis reveals significant flexibility differences between free NS3 and the NS2B/NS3 complex, with notable deviations in specific regions. Key residues driving NS2B binding are identified, and the protonation state of catalytic serine affects oxyanion hole formation.

Moving dunes on the Google Earth [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Journal of Sciences, 2013, Volume 2, Issue 8, pages 33-42, 2013
Several methods exist for surveying the dunes and estimate their migration rate. Among methods suitable for the macroscopic scale, the use of the satellite images available on Google Earth is a convenient resource, in particular because of its time series. Some examples of the use of this feature of Google Earth are here proposed.

Structural Diversity of Mitochondria in the Neuromuscular System across Development Revealed by 3D Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondria across the entire neuromuscular system have been comprehensively reconstructed at different developmental stages using 3D electron microscopy. Fundamental structural principles related to synaptic function are preserved across development, and these morphologies are adapted to ensure effective neural circuit function.

Development of MDM2‐Targeting PROTAC for Advancing Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a creative pipeline for developing MDM2‐targeting PROTACs (MDM2‐PROTACs) for application in bone regeneration. The developed PROTACs (CL144 and CL174) are validated for their degradation efficiency and osteogenic effects in human BMSCs.

The dark side of Open Access in Google and Google Scholar: the case of Latin-American repositories [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Since repositories are a key tool in making scholarly knowledge open access, determining their presence and impact on the Web is essential, particularly in Google (search engine par excellence) and Google Scholar (a tool increasingly used by researchers to search for academic information).

An Intracellular Peptide Library Screening Platform Identifies Irreversible Covalent Transcription Factor Inhibitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A peptide library screening platform has been developed to discover covalent transcription factor inhibitors. It identifies an antagonist cysteine residue, which forms an inhibitory disulphide with cJun C269. Conversion of this cysteine to an electrophile generates an irreversible and selective cJun inhibitor, validating this approach for covalent ...

PDCD11 Stabilizes C‐MYC Oncoprotein by Hindering C‐MYC‐SKP2 Negative Feedback Loop to Facilitate Progression of p53‐Mutant Breast and Colon Malignancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PDCD11 overexpression highly correlates to poor prognosis in p53‐mutant breast and colon cancers. Through interaction with C‐MYC in the nucleoplasm, PDCD11 hinders C‐MYC‐induced SKP2 from binding to the C‐MYC MB2 domain for ubiquitination, thereby stabilizing C‐MYC to drive tumor progression.
