Simulations of Photovoltaic Systems on Different Types of Ships in Sweden: Solar Energy Generation, Comparison to Energy Consumption, and Reduction of CO2 Emission

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1273-1285, March 2026.
Investigation of the potential of using solar cells on different types of ships, to see how it reduces energy consumption and emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2). From the reduction in fuel consumption, the fuel cost reduction was estimated, and an approximate payback time for the solar cell system was calculated.

Simultaneous lasing of Ni Kα and Cu Kα lasers from an alloy foil irradiated with an intense X‐ray free‐electron laser pulse

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 508-510, March 2026.
We successfully achieved simultaneous lasing of 7.48 keV Ni Kα1 and 8.05 keV Cu Kα1 emissions using an intense X‐ray free‐electron laser (XFEL) pulse. This achievement – the realization of simultaneous two‐color X‐ray lasing using a single‐color XFEL pulse – is expected to advance the development of X‐ray lasers and their applications. We report the ...

Reducing data processing effort in camera trap density estimation: Extending the REST model by explicitly modelling animal detection processes

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 17, Issue 3, Page 850-862, March 2026.
Abstract Accurate and reliable estimation of wildlife population density is fundamental to effective conservation and management. While camera traps show potential for monitoring ground‐dwelling mammal densities, labour‐intensive data processing remains a significant constraint. Ideally, conservation efforts would benefit from the continuous monitoring

Silenced Rapids and Waterfalls: Habitat Loss and Management of Bypassed Reaches in the Regulated Rivers of Sweden

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Habitat destruction is a global driver of biodiversity loss. In rivers, damming and river regulation for hydropower have caused extensive loss of high gradient, riffle, rapid and waterfall habitats. Restoring these habitats, which support unique biodiversity, should be an urgent priority, but inadequate documentation hampers evaluation of ...

The volume of dipyrone for oral use versus dropper type, temperature and drip angles [Volume de dipirona para via oral versus tipo de conta-gotas, temperatura e ângulos de gotejamento] [Volumen de dipirona (metamizol) para vía oral versus tipo cuentagotas, temperatura y ángulo de goteo]

open access: yesRevista Enfermagem UERJ, 2018
Objective: to determine the differences between volume and number of drops of dipyrone (oral) per milliliter, while controlling some variables. Method: this study applied quantitative analysis to data obtained in laboratory experiments with two types of ...

Hodgkin Lymphoma With Liver Involvement (Diagnostic, Therapeutic Difficulties, and Literature Review): A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims In classical Hodgkin lymphoma liver involvement occurs in 5%–8%, ranging from mild dysfunction to acute liver failure. Recognition and treatment of advanced cases are challenging due to rapid progression and limited use of therapies. Methods We analyzed the data of 250 Hodgkin lymphoma patients; 9 had liver involvement, one

Revisiting the taxonomy and nomenclature of Phyla, a small genus of Verbenaceae

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2025, Issue 12, December 2025.
Phyla is unique within Verbenaceae due to the presence of malpighiaceous hairs. Its taxonomy has long been marked by difficulties in defining species boundaries. The most recent revision of the genus recognized five species and three varieties. In this study, however, we recognize only two species and no varieties: P.

Automated alignment of XFEL nanofocusing mirrors via wavefront optimization

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 1534-1538, November 2025.
An automated alignment system for nanofocusing Kirkpatrick–Baez mirrors has been developed at SACLA. A wavefront optimization technique routinely provides nanofocused XFEL beams. An automated alignment procedure, based on wavefront measurement with a single‐grating interferometer, has been developed for precise tuning of Kirkpatrick–Baez nanofocusing ...

Berrembi Jarragboo‐Boorroo Wajawoorroo Men'Gawoom Gijam (Gija Healthy Skin Story): Two‐Way Learning for Healthy Skin

open access: yesHealth Promotion Journal of Australia, Volume 36, Issue 4, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Issue Addressed Remote‐living Aboriginal children in Australia contend with higher rates of skin infections than non‐Indigenous children. This work was embedded within a stepped‐wedge, cluster randomised controlled trial aiming to halve the rate of skin infections in remote Kimberley communities.
