Boundary control problem for the telegraph equation

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2012
In the paper we consider the boundary control problem for the telegraph equation. We study the case of the short period of control, when the initial and final data determine the solution in two regions, having the common part.

On the Levi condition for Goursat problem

open access: yesKyoto Journal of Mathematics, 1987
The author treats the following differential operator \[ (1)\quad P(D_ t,D_ x,D_ y)=\sum^{m}_{j=\ell}C_ j(D_ x,D_ y)D_ t^{m- j}=P_ m+\sum^{m}_{k=1}P_{m-k}, \] where \(C_ j(\zeta,\eta)\) is a polynomial with constant coefficients of order \(\leq j\), and \(P_ j\) is a homogeneous part of degree j of P. Let \[ P_ m(\tau,\zeta,\eta)=\prod^{n'}_{j=1}(\zeta

Goursat problem for loaded degenerate second order hyperbolic equation with Gellerstedt operator in principal part

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2016
In the paper we study a loaded degenerate hyperbolic equation of the second order with variable coefficients. The principal part of the equation is the Gellerstedt operator.

Influence of Heat Transfer on Stress Components in Metallic Plates Weakened by Multi-Curved Holes

open access: yesAxioms
This manuscript addresses an application study by employing a mathematical model of a thermoelastic plate weakened by multi-curved holes under the effect of stress forces in the presence of heat conduction.

Generalized solutions to a non-Lipschitz Goursat problem [PDF]

open access: yesDifferential Equations & Applications, 2009
In this paper we investigate solutions to the semi-linear wave equation in canonical form with non Lipschitz non-linearity and distributions or other generalized functions as data. To give a meaning to the Goursat problem with irregular data, we replace it by a biparametric family of problems.

A cases of solvability of the integral equation in quadratures

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2014
We consider Volterra equation with two-variable, commonly encountered in the theory of elasticity. The purpose is to find new variants of sufficient conditions for it’s solvability in explicit calculation. The reduction principle of the original equation,

On solvability of a nonlocal problem with integral conditions for hyperbolic equation in characteristic domain

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Естественнонаучная серия
In this article, we study a nonlocal problem for hyperbolic equation in characteristic domain. Additional information on desired solution is given in the form of integrals.

Nonlocal Problem for the Time-Fractional Hyperbolic-Type Equation with the Prabhakar Fractional Derivative

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki
In this paper, we investigate a nonlocal boundary value problem for a time-fractional hyperbolic-type partial differential equation involving fractional derivatives of regularized Prabhakar.

Goursat problem for the Yang-Mills-Vlasov system in temporal gauge

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
This article studies the characteristic Cauchy problem for the Yang-Mills-Vlasov (YMV) system in temporal gauge, where the initial data are specified on two intersecting smooth characteristic hypersurfaces of Minkowski spacetime $(mathbb{R}^{4},eta )$
