Mice population dynamics and structure over time and space after wildfires
Wood and Algerian mice live syntopically within burnt areas, the former species being more abundant. In this study, adult females were recaptured more often over time, while males were found to cover greater distances. We found that recovery strategies of Mediterranean rodents are mainly driven by ex situ immigration from unburnt areas.

Retrospective image analysis for long‐term demography using Google Earth imagery
We demonstrate that high‐resolution Google Earth imagery, combined with minimal field validation, enables retrospective tracking of individual invasive plants. The image shows one of the monitored individuals of Opuntia sp. in Greece. Our approach reveals long‐term demographic patterns, recruitment dynamics, and spatial expansion without continuous ...

Polymer arms decorated with hydrogen bonding stickers form supramolecular nanocylinders in solution. Their diameter can be tuned by mixing polymers of different lengths to optimize assembly. Short polymer arms lead to thin nanocylinders. Long arms do not assemble.

Abstract Automated monitoring is transforming ecological and behavioural research by enabling accurate, long‐term data collection and processing with minimal intervention—especially in remote or logistically challenging environments. However, monitoring multiple organisms or sites simultaneously poses substantial logistical hurdles, including the need ...

Superoxide activates ferroptosis through the Haber‐Weiss reaction and contributes to the development of age‐related macular degeneration. MnSOD‐depleted RPE cells are susceptible to blue light‐induced ferroptosis. MnSOD deficiency promotes Hsp70‐driven ubiquitin‐mediated degradation of GPX4.

Abstract In mid‐eighteenth‐century Europe, anonymous authors produced parodic satires masquerading as earnest exemplars of the chronicle form. Couched in an antiquated, quasi‐biblical register, these mock chronicles drew flimsily fictional portraits of modern life.
