Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.

Switchable Supramolecular Adhesive by Tuning Interfacial Bonding and Modulus

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The supramolecular adhesive (HyDiP) shows reversible adhesion and recyclability. In the dehydrated state, it is dense, stiff (E ≈445 MPa), transparent, and provides strong bonding with adhesion strengths up to 4.65 MPa. In the hydrated state, it becomes porous, soft (E ≈0.11 MPa), and detaches easily, enabling sustainable high‐strength applications ...

Government Size Threshold and Economic Growth in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Business and Development Studies, 2010
We apply the two-sector production function developed by Ram (1986) to estimate the threshold regression model for Iran, concerning the effect of government size on economic growth.

Enhancing Synaptic Plasticity and Multistate Retention of Organic Neuromorphic Devices Using Anion‐Excessive Gel Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐excessive gel‐based organic synaptic transistors (AEG‐OSTs) that can maintain electrical neutrality are developed to enhance synaptic plasticity and multistate retention. Key improvement is attributed to the maintenance of electrical neutrality in the electrolyte even after electrochemical doping, which reduces the Coulombic force acting on ...

Population Ageing and Government Health Expenditures in New Zealand, 1951-2051 [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper uses a simulation model to assess the effects of population ageing on government health expenditures in New Zealand. Population ageing is defined to include disability trends and “distance to death”; government health expenditures are defined ...
