Dissent to Threat: The Linguistic Securitization of Political Conflict in Contemporary Governance

This academic working paper analyzes the 2020-21 Indian Farmers' Protest to theorize the mechanics of "Mnemonic Securitization." By examining the linguistic transition from domestic dissent to international security threat, the research identifies a three-phase pattern of escalation, specifically for postcolonial democracies.
