Resolution of GPC columns

Journal of Polymer Science Part A-2: Polymer Physics, 1969
AbstractA resolution index for gel‐permeation chromatograph (GPC) columns is defined by the relation log (RI) = αW, where RI is the resolution index, α is the slope of the calibration curve of logarithm of molecular weight against peak position for narrow polymer fractions, and W is the width of the GPC curves for narrow fractions.

On a direct relation between GPC in a state space approach and GPC in a polynomial approach

2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001
Generalized predictive control (GPC) can be derived in a state space approach as well as in a polynomial approach, and several researches which give relations between these approaches had been discussed. However, strict equivalence between GPC in a polynomial approach and GPC in a state space approach has not been shown so far. Therefore, in this paper,

gPC for the Euler Equations

2014
We present a stochastic Galerkin formulation of the Euler equations based on the variables introduced by P. L. Roe in 1981 for the well-known and widely used Roe solver. For numerical discretization, a Roe average matrix for the standard MUSCL-Roe scheme with Roe variables is derived. The Roe variable formulation is robust for supersonic problems where

A rating of quality of GPC

The Experience of Designing and Application of CAD Systems in Microelectronics, 2003. CADSM 2003. Proceedings of the 7th International Conference., 2004
In this paper different types of generators and possible tests of an estimation of their quality are considered. The program complex "Studying of properties GPC" is offered.

GPC Tuning Conditioning

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1998
Abstract The problem of generalised predictive control of plants characterised by discrete-time models with a nonzero transportation-delay is considered. Several control design procedures suitable for such plant models are given. Conditions for the existence of the solution of the design problem in terms of the pertinent design parameters are given ...

Extension of GPC Techniques

Separation Science, 1971
Abstract Most of the common GPC gels exhibit pore sizes which are too small to separate very extended molecules, e.g., native cellulose in solution. Several gel types were tested with vinyl polymers of molecular weights up to 107 and with cellulose nitrate.

Universal calibration in GPC

Journal of Polymer Science Part A-1: Polymer Chemistry, 1972
AbstractThe M[η]‐elution volume calibration curve for gel‐permeation chromatography (GPC) is based on the implicit assumption that the hydrodynamic volume of a solvated polymer species in the GPC columns is that which pertains at infinite dilution. This is not true of highly solvated high molecular weight fractions and results in apparent failure of ...
