Enhanced Intrusion Detection with Data Stream Classification and Concept Drift Guided by the Incremental Learning Genetic Programming Combiner

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Concept drift (CD) in data streaming scenarios such as networking intrusion detection systems (IDS) refers to the change in the statistical distribution of the data over time.

Conformal Metallosaccharide Hybrid Films for Protecting Wood Surfaces From Environmental Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ti‐ribose hybrid films fabricated by molecular layer deposition form a conformal and uniform coating on wood surfaces, which provides water repellence, dimensional stability, and resistance to acidic and alkaline environments, while preserving the natural appearance.

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).

Classification of Tumor and Normal Tissue Gene Expression in Lung Adenocarcinoma Using Support Vector Machine and Gaussian Process Classification

open access: yesJournal of Applied Informatics and Computing
Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a major cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. This study aims to identify potential LUAD biomarkers and develop robust classification models using the GSE151101 microarray dataset.

Long‐Term Hydrophilic, Anti‐Clotting, and Anti‐Fibrotic Dynamic Covalent Silicone‐Based Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic covalent crosslinking of a Schiff‐base silicone elastomer with hydrazide‐functionalized polymers is demonstrated to improve the long‐term hydrophilicity as well as the anti‐fouling and anti‐clotting properties of PDMS implants. The hydrazone‐functionalized material prevents hydrophobic recovery, resists clotting, and significantly reduces ...

Ammonium Salts as Curing Agents to Obtain Ionic Epoxy Resins With a Thermoplastic‐to‐Thermoset Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.

Designing Strong, Tough, Fire‐Retardant and Self‐Healing Elastomers with Phosphorus/Nitrogen‐ and Biphenyl‐Containing Segments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By designing a P/N‐ and π–π interacting biphenyl‐containing diol as hard segments but side groups, a strong, tough, fire‐extinguishing and self‐healing elastomer is developed, demonstrating a break strain of ∼2500%, a toughness of 379 MJ/m3 and a tensile strength of 46 MPa, as well as a healing efficiency of 95% (tensile strength) and 99% (break strain)

Chemical and isotope compositions of sediments from DSDP Hole 86-576A and Core LL44-GPC-3

open access: yes, 2002
A record of changes in Pb and Sr isotopic composition of two cores (DSDP 86-576A and LL44- GPC-3) from the red clay region of the central North Pacific has been determined for the past 60-65 million years.
