, 2013 Nowadays, incumbent operators are deploying GPON FTTH access network over substantial part of the countries in Europe, in a Point-to-Multipoint architecture (P2MP). This architecture is characterized by a shared fiber from the Central Office (C.O.) to a certain location where, by means of splitters, individual fibers carry the signal to/from every user.

Guangtongxin yanjiu, 2010 文章针对吉比特无源光网络（GPON）系统中具有动态带宽分配（DBA）能力的光网络单元（ONU）以太网桥接子系统,首先分析ONU板载Linux系统中网桥子系统的整体结构,然后,提出一种网桥中DBA的算法,并对此算法进行分析。实验结果表明,相比一般网桥,具有DBA的网桥能够更有效地利用GPON远端系统的PON中有限的带宽资源,提高带宽的利用率。
