ABSTRACT Isoflavones, secondary metabolites with numerous health benefits, are predominantly found in legume seeds, especially soybean; however, their contents in domesticated soybean seeds are highly variable. Wild soybeans are known for higher seed isoflavone contents than cultivars. Here we used experimental and modelling approaches on wild soybean (

A Simple Model of Geopolitical Risk and Sanctions
ABSTRACT Geopolitical risk (GPR) shocks that trigger the imposition of sanctions tend to lower output and raise inflation in the sanctioned country. We develop a three‐equation small open economy New Keynesian model where GPR shocks are modeled as negative productivity shocks and sanctions manifest as import tariffs in response to GPR increases.

2011 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2011Ground Penetrating Radars are a unique and well known tool for soil investigation. In order to improve its penetration depth and/or its resolution limits, in the past several radar designs, based on the so called Continuous Wave-Stepped Frequency technique have been proposed. However, the resulting design was often a quite complex equipment.
