Bayesian‐Optimized Dual‐Mode Luminescence‐Based Optical Thermometry Enabled by Negative Thermal Expansion in Lu2(MoO4)3:Yb–Er–Tm Phosphor

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A Bayesian optimization framework identifies the ideal composition for Lu2(MoO4)3:Yb–Er–Tm phosphors with minimal experimental trials. By leveraging the host's negative thermal expansion, the material achieves remarkable thermal quenching compensation.

Can be GPR technique useful for strength characterization of concrete?

open access: yes, 2010
The possibility of material characterization through the GPR measurements, taking into account the integration with the ultrasonic technique, has been studied and possible relationships between the permittivity of materials and their bulk density are ...

GPR124 Alleviates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption by Enhancing Microvascular Endothelial Function after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.

GPR sounding of aufeis and alluvium of aufeis glades in the Kyubyume River valley, Oymyakon Highlands

open access: yesЛëд и снег
Aufeis is a surface accumulation of ice which is formed as layer-by-layer freezing of underground or river water periodically pouring onto the surface in winter. In July 2022, a geophysical survey was carried outin the valley of the Kyubyume River.

Electromagnetic propagation modelling for GPR exploration of Martian subsurface

open access: yes, 2003
This work presents a study on possible subsurface models for GPR exploration of Martian soil. In particular, based on recent experiments, the electromagnetic properties of Mars soil simulants are reported and relevant GPR performance is calculated in ...

A strategy for landmine detection and recognition using simulated GPR responses

open access: yes, 2022
S.871- 876In this paper the potential of using modeled GPR responses for buried landmine recognition is investigated. We demonstrate that accurately simulated object signatures may be successfully employed as reference wavelets for clutter suppression ...

Machine Learning for Green Solvents: Assessment, Selection and Substitution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Environmental regulations have intensified demand for green solvents, but discovery is limited by Solvent Selection Guides (SSGs) that quantify solvent sustainability. Training a machine learning model on GlaxoSmithKline SSG, a database of sustainability metrics for 10,189 solvents, GreenSolventDB is developed. Integrated with Hansen solubility metrics,

Forensic geophysics: ground penetrating radar (GPR) techniques and missing persons investigations

open access: yesForensic Sciences Research, 2019
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) investigations have the potential to non-destructively detect buried or hidden targets and are therefore often used in forensic research.
