GPS Tracking Small Sounding Rockets

open access: yes, 1998
The middle atmospheric region (-40 to 140 km) is too low to be directly probed by sate11ites and too high to be probed by research airplanes or high altitude balloons. Sounding rockets are the only vehicle that can carry instruments for in situ measurements. Up until now only a few methods have been available to track the location of a sounding rocket-

Identification of initial vegetation and habitat changes in small temperate fens using remote sensing

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Temperate fens with only incipient, subtle signs of deterioration can be reliably identified using Sentinel‐2 and aerial imagery, which sensitively detect early productivity‐related structural changes. Abstract Small temperate fens rank among the most endangered habitats in temperate Europe.

Preprocessing Procedure for Propagation Measurements on MEO Satellite Links

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a software tool designed for preprocessing data from an experimental campaign aimed at characterizing the tropospheric propagation channel using Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites. The collected data provide critical insights into the channel in scenarios involving continuous variations in azimuth and elevation, along with

Unveiling the Impact of Digitized Supply Chains on Reducing Food Loss and Waste: A Multiple Case Study of Italian Agri‐Food Firms

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Food loss and waste (FLW) within agri‐food supply chains significantly impact the consumer economy, depleting natural resources and contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, thereby posing a critical challenge to sustainable development. Digital transformation is increasingly recognised as a key lever for reducing FLW in agri‐food supply ...
