Wildebeest movement responses to electric conservation fencing in the African Savannah ecosystem
These findings provide GPS‐based empirical evidence of how a newly constructed electric conservation fence alters migratory wildebeests, and show that effects are context‐dependent across habitat type, time of day, and distance to the boundary. While such fences can reduce human–wildlife conflict and support conservation goals, they must be carefully ...

More Than Routing: Joint GPS and Route Modeling for Refine Trajectory Representation Learning
Trajectory representation learning plays a pivotal role in supporting various downstream tasks. Traditional methods in order to filter the noise in GPS trajectories tend to focus on routing-based methods used to simplify the trajectories.

ABSTRACT Recreational fisheries in remote regions often operate under limited regulation and data availability, presenting challenges for sustainable management. Diego Garcia, located within the Chagos Marine Protected Area, hosts a unique recreational reef fishery embedded within a highly protected environment. We assessed the stock status of five key

Translocations are often used in the conservation of large raptors, including Old World vultures. Different release methods are usually assessed by comparing the movement patterns and survival of released individuals. However, these approaches fail to capture the gregarious behaviour of many vulture species.

We conducted the first radio‐tracking study on Osmoderma barnabita to examine the movement ecology and habitat selection in the Eastern Carpathians. A female recorded the longest movement distance and had larger home ranges than males. It showed a preference for Quercus petraea, with wood mould cavities and DBH as key predictors.
