Assessment of three satellite precipitation products for hydrological studies in a data-scarce context: Ouarzazate basin, southern Morocco

open access: yesNatural Hazards Research
Arid and semi-arid regions, such as southern Morocco, face challenges due to limited precipitation data availability, posing significant obstacles for climate and hydrological studies.

Performance Evaluation of Hydrological Models Using GR4J Rainfall-Runoff Model for Developed Watersheds in Java Island

open access: yes
Abstract: GR4J (Genie Rural a 4 parame`tres Journalier) is a rainfall-runoff model widely used to modelling rainfall into discharge. In this model, the input data used are daily rainfall and evapotranspiration data, calibrated using daily observed discharge data. This model seeks the optimum parameter value that produces the minimum deviation or error.

Runoff Ensemble Simulation based on Multiple Satellite Precipitation Products and Multiple Rainfall Runoff Models in Xijiang River Basin

open access: yesRenmin Zhujiang, 2020
Because of uncertainty of hydrological simulation, it's difficult for simulation resultof runoff which is obtained by single method to satisfy the requirement of hydrological accuracy. However, the ensemble simulation is an effective method to reduce ...

Assessment of the Performance of Rainfall-Runoff Model GR4J to Simulate Streamflow in Ouémé Watershed at Bonou’s outlet (West Africa

open access: yes, 2018
The study aims to analyze the performance criteria of the GR4J model to reproduce high water flows in the Ouémé watershed at Bonou's outlet which has been vulnerable to climate change in recent decades. The methodology focused on the use of daily climatological and hydrometric data extracted from files of National Directorate of Meteorology, and ...

Uncertainty analysis of streamflow forecast based on multi-model precipitation and hydrological models

open access: yesShui kexue jinzhan
To improve the accuracy and reliability of streamflow forecasting, nine ensemble runoff prediction schemes were developed for the Qingjiang River basin by combining two precipitation forecasts (ECMWF and NCEP) with two hydrological models (GR4J and XAJ ...
