Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

ASSESSMENT THE POLISHING OF LOCAL AGGREGATES BY MEANS OF SKID RESISTANCE FOR SURFACE PAVEMENT LAYER

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2016
During the entire life cycle of a pavement, highway agencies are expected to monitor and preserve an appropriate surface roughness (i.e. texture) to facilitate friction between pavement surface and vehicle tires.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Numerical Modeling for the Vibration Characteristics of Multistrata Composite Annular Disks of Spatially Uniform and Nonuniform Thickness Using Refined Higher-Order Shear Deformation Theory

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
This study introduces a novel numerical modeling of multistrata composite annular disks of spatially uniform and nonuniform thickness based on refined higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT), extending beyond conventional single-layer and ...

Direct Triangulation of 3D Surfaces Using the Advancing Front Technique

open access: yes, 1996
A robust and efficient algorithm for discretization of tensor product polynomial surfaces is presented. The advancing front technique operating directly on the surface in the physical space is employed.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

The Performance Evaluation of Porous Asphalt Mixtures Reinforced by Fibers

open access: yes, 2023
Environmentally friendly porous asphalt mixtures have poor tensile strength performance and durability due to their porous structure. This results in their service life typically being less than ten years.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Analysis and Design of Pavement Surface Mixtures for Traffic Noise Reduction

open access: yes, 2021
Project DescriptionRoad traffic noise pollutes the living environment and has adverse effects on public health, but it can be reduced at the source of one of its major components, the tire-pavement noise, by a porous pavement surface.
