Gradation trajectories as an analog of gradation curves in the metric CIE Lab space: discrete approach [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика, 2019
In the work, an approach that uses three-dimensional gradation trajectories in the CIE Lab metric space as analogs of traditional gradational curves is developed.

Gradation trajectories of ideal initial printing colorants in electrophotography: Discrete computation [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
Accuracy of the color reproduction during printing is strongly determined by the fine tuning of the gradation curves of the printing systems (tone reproduction curves). The curves are constructed by sequentially changing the tone of the main dyes (most often it is CMYK).

Mathematics and practice of color space invariants by the example of determining the gray balance for a digital printing system [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика, 2020
In modern printing, a large number of tasks are associated with the mutual transformation of color spaces. In particular, the most common pair of hardware-dependent color spaces is RGB and CMYK, the mutual transformation of colors in which is ambiguous ...

Determining the ideal initial printing colorants in electrophotography by the discrete gradation trajectories [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2020
The accuracy and repeatability of the color reproduction in print is determined by the fine‐tuning of the tone reproduction curves of the basic printing colorants (most often this is CMYK). However, the diversity of manufacturers of printing equipment and dyes introduces an element of significant uncertainty about color uniformity.

Effect of the Material Gradation on the Fracture Trajectory in Ceramic/Metal Functionally Graded Materials

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials
This paper is based on a 2D numerical study of crack initiation and growth in ceramic/metal functionally graded materials (FGMs) under mixed mode condition. The finite element method is used for modeling the crack growth trajectory. Two types of ceramic/metal FGMs are considered to explore the effect of the material gradation on the fracture trajectory.
