ABSTRACT In VECMs (or CVARs), the weak exogeneity of some of the variables (for the long‐run parameters) is related to the equilibrium adjustment dynamics. This has sometimes led to the statistical concept of weak exogeneity being given a causal interpretation.

Rethinking Local Choice: Experimental Evidence on Taxpayer Sentiment and Public School Funding
ABSTRACT Taxpayers often have conflicting views on what constitutes fair taxation and how tax revenues should be allocated. We work with Vermont legislators on the policy concern of sentiment in a property tax setting, given the Vermont Supreme Court ruling around the principle of educational equality.

The Additive Logic of Epistemic Reasons: An Axiomatic Account
ABSTRACT The article argues for a system of axioms that is meant to capture the logic of normative reasons for belief. The system concerns a primitive direct‐reason relation, a defined doxastic‐reason relation, and a primitive function for the revision of rational belief by reasons.

How to Match Cognitive Model Predictions With EEG Data
Abstract Reliably identifying relevant brain areas implicated by the simulated activity from cognitive models is still an unsolved problem for cognitive modeling, particularly when matching model output with human electroencephalography (EEG) data. We propose a new method involving postprocessing of ACT‐R module activity and clustered EEG component ...

Tariff Transmission Across US Customs Districts: Product‐Level Evidence From Successive Trade Shocks
ABSTRACT This paper asks how US tariffs on Chinese imports reshape trade across the nation's customs districts, and whether a district's earlier reliance on China shapes how deeply its imports fall. We build a monthly panel of HS6‐level US imports from eleven source countries arriving through eight customs districts between January 2017 and December ...

A two‐scale framework bridges process‐level physics and system‐level decision‐making for electrified green methanol production. Replacing computationally demanding reactor simulations with an interpretable symbolic‐regression surrogate enables rapid techno‐economic and life‐cycle assessment. The framework reveals how process performance propagates into

ABSTRACT Stochastic Galerkin methods offer unexplored potential for the numerical simulation of parabolic problems with random variables, in particular if they are combined with variational discretizations of the space and time variables. Due to the high dimensionality, the solution of the arising algebraic systems do not become feasible without ...

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...
