Screening 166 FDA‐approved anticancer drugs identifies the aromatase inhibitor Exemestane as a synergistic partner of PARP inhibitor Olaparib in BRCA‐proficient triple‐negative breast cancer. Exemestane induces ROS‐mediated replication stress, enhancing DNA damage and apoptosis alongside Olaparib.

Understanding and measuring mechanical signals in the tumor stroma
This review discusses cancer‐associated fibroblast subtypes and their functions, particularly in relation to extracellular matrix production, as well as the development of 3D models to study tumor stroma mechanics in vitro. Several quantitative techniques to measure tissue mechanical properties are also described, to emphasize the diagnostic and ...

First-order methods of smooth convex optimization with inexact oracle [PDF]
In this paper, we analyze different first-order methods of smooth convex optimization employing inexact first-order information. We introduce the notion of an approximate first-order oracle.

A biharmonic elliptic problem with dependence on the gradient and the Laplacian
We study the existence of solutions for nonlinear biharmonic equations that depend on the gradient and the Laplacian, under Navier boundary condition.

The tumor microenvironment is a dynamic, multifaceted complex system of interdependent cellular, biochemical, and biophysical components. Three‐dimensional in vitro models of the tumor microenvironment enable a better understanding of these interactions and their impact on cancer progression and therapeutic resistance.

In human monocytic cells THP‐1, a limited uptake of native—not oxidized—LDL/VLDL induced expression of scavenger receptor A and cellular adhesion. Induction was inhibited by lysosomotropic (WR‐1065) and lipophilic (BHT) antioxidants and by siRNAs against ferritinophagy.

Gradient theories for scale dependent material simulations
Since composite materials have been developed, many types of materials (e.g. carbon fibre, carbon nanotubes (CNTs)) can be embedded in a standard matrix in order to obtain materials with enhanced physical properties. To investigate enhanced properties of nano-composites, not only mechanical properties but also electrical properties should be taken into

The contrast transfer function (CTF) is an imaging aberration that is a major resolution‐limiting factor in cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM). Precise CTF estimation is key to overcoming this limitation, but is particularly challenging in cryo‐electron tomography (cryo‐ET) data. Here, we present an approach for using geometric information to assist in
