Lysyl oxidase crosslinking of type I collagen decreases neutrophil extravasation through an endothelium during the initial response to P. aeruginosa. This decrease in extravasation is likely due to the increase in VE‐cadherin expression between endothelial cells seeded on LOX‐crosslinked collagen hydrogels.

Graduated compression stocking performance: Insights from wearers and development of a cost-effective 3D-printed leg mannequin [PDF]
Compression textiles are prevalent in sports, healthcare and medical products. However, challenges have appeared in designing graduated compression stockings, including the need for systematic studies on leg geometry and the complex pressure-measuring ...

Natural Aging of Biomaterials in Ambient and Physiological Environments
Biomaterials used in biomedical applications can change their physical properties over time, even under ambient and physiological conditions. This review highlights key studies on the natural aging of materials ranging from soft hydrogels to metals and ceramics, emphasizing how time‐dependent changes influence function and performance.

TED Stockings: In surgical patients, how effective are TED stockings compared to not using TED stockings in preventing DVT? [PDF]
When blood flow is reduced to the limbs and blood becomes static there is no oxygenation to the venous valves and therefore the endothelium in the veins becomes hypoxic.

Miniaturized Conductometric Biosensor for Rapid Detection of TNF‐α in Saliva
A miniaturized conductometric sensor detects TNF‐α at femtomolar levels with high selectivity. The device enables noninvasive testing using pooled human saliva and supports smartphone‐based, real‐time resistance readings. This portable biosensor offers a practical alternative for monitoring TNF‐α, providing new opportunities for diabetes and related ...

ABSTRACT Excessive water production in mature oil fields necessitates robust shut‐off treatments, yet conventional polymer gels often fail under high‐temperature and high‐salinity conditions. This study aims to enhance gel thermal stability and mechanical strength by incorporating selenium‐doped Ag/AgO–ZnO nanocomposites synthesized via a novel green ...
