Graft Copolymerization of Styrene on the Cellulose

セリウム塩を開始剤に用いてセルロースへのスチレンのグラフト重合を行なった。えられた結果は,つぎのとおりである。(1)グラフト重合に関して,ある最高の触媒濃度が存在し,その濃度は,重合温度に依存し,温度の上昇とともに高濃度側に移行する。常温においては重合領域は極めてせまい。(2)硝酸はメチルメタクリレートなどのビニル化合物においては助触媒的な効果をあたえたが,スチレンの場合には負の効果をあたえる。(3)重合時間の増大とともに,グラフト量は増大するが,その効率は重合時間の初期を除いてはほとんど無関係である。(4)重合温度の増大とともにグラフト量は増加するが,60℃前後に山が存在する。グラフト効率ば重合温度の増大とともに減少する。(5)単量体濃度は初期の濃度を除くとほとんどグラフト量に無関係である。(6 ...

Amino Acid Modified Polymer Mesh for Removal of the Heavy Metal Ions Pb2+, Hg2+, Cu2+, and Ni2+ From Aqueous Solutions

Adsorbents for cations of copper, lead, mercury, and nickel are obtained via grafting polymer mesh with an acrylic acid copolymer and subsequent functionalization with an amino acid. A distinct influence of the type of amino acid on the adsorption occurs.
