Evaluation of multiple vascular reconstructive procedures with synthetic graft occlusions.
The Journal of cardiovascular surgery, 1994The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of multiple vascular reconstructive procedures in the presence of an occluded synthetic graft. Over a four year period seventy-seven occluded synthetic grafts were treated with urokinase and reconstruction. Follow-up ranged from 1 to 1627 days (4 years, 5 1/2 months).

An asymptomatic giant true saphenous vein graft aneurysm was successfully occluded by percutaneous distal coil embolisation combined with deployment of a proximal Amplatzer vascular occlusion plug. The aneurysm cavity was excluded from both antegrade flow via the aortosaphenous anastamosis and retrograde flow via the distal left anterior descending ...

Recanalization and Aneurysmal Dilitation of the Bovine Vascular Graft After Its Complete Occlusion
Vascular Surgery, 1979Bovine heterograft was widely used in the past for angio-access, revascular ization, and in some other different vas cular procedures. At first the technique was promising, but it ultimately became discouraging because of a high number of complications related to the use of foreign protein.

Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Background Vascular graft infection is a very complex disease. Although complete excision of the infected grafts with extra-anatomic bypass or in situ reconstruction is a general treatment strategy, some concerns including reinfection in the new graft remain. Case Report An 88 year-old man presented to the hospital with abdominal swelling and bleeding.

Twenty patients with widespread occlusive vascular disease received sequential bypass grafts for lower-limb salvage. In 16 patients an isolated common femoral or profunda segment was perfused by a proximal graft and run-off was augmented by femoropopliteal bypass.
