Improved Patency of an Elastomeric Vascular Graft by Hybridization

open access: yesASAIO Journal, 1992
A newly devised hybrid graft with high antithrombogenicity for small caliber vascular grafts was developed. The design concept was based on the incorporation of a compliant open cell structured graft, autogenous endothelial cells (ECs), and artificial basement membrane.

Interfacial Failure and Self‐Healing in Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic interfacial self‐healing offers an adaptive route to mitigate coupled mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical degradation in solid‐state batteries. This review connects evolving interfacial failure mechanisms with physical‐flow, chemical‐restoration, stimuli‐responsive, and electric‐field‐assisted repair strategies, highlighting targeted self‐

Assessment of coronary artery bypass graft patency by multidetector computed tomography and electron-beam tomography

open access: yes, 2005
This case report describes the use of retrospectively ECG-gated 16-slice multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) and electron-beam tomography (EBT) for assessing bypass graft patency in two patients with recurrent angina after coronary artery bypass ...

Hierarchical Flexible Ceramic Nanofiber Membrane for Simultaneous Membrane Distillation and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical flexible ceramic nanofiber membrane integrates a La‐stabilized ZrO2 scaffold with superhydrophobic UiO‐66‐NH2/CdS heterojunctions. The gas–liquid–solid interfacial architecture sustains vapor‐selective desalination, visible‐light charge separation, and rapid H2 extraction, enabling simultaneous freshwater production and photocatalytic ...

Effects of competitive blood flow on arterial graft patency and diameter Medium-term postoperative follow-up [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
To identify predictors of arterial graft patency, we followed up 30 internal thoracic arterial grafts and 23 right gastroepiploic arterial grafts in situ with patency documented during postoperative angiography.

Self‐Assembling Copolymers Encapsulating Single Endothelial Cells Induce Endogenous ECM Deposition and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the first demonstration of stable sub‐50‐micron single‐cell GPM vesicles fabricated through the intrinsic self‐assembly of an amphiphilic copolymer. Hierarchical assembly of cell containing GPM vesicles into microspheres enable tunable, sustained cell delivery with immune protection.

Spectrally Coordinated Plasmonic–Photothermal Photocatalysts for Mineralization of Mixed Indoor VOCs Under White LED Illumination

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A plasmonic–photothermal–photocatalytic hybrid comprising Cu(II)‐grafted TiO2, yolk–shell Au@SiO2, and reduced graphene oxide sheets (CuT/AuSi‐GS) harvests full‐spectrum white light‐emitting diode (LED) light via complementary photocatalytic oxidation, localized surface‐plasmon‐resonance‐induced electric‐field enhancement, and photothermal acceleration.

Impact of Fascial Orientation of the Radial Artery Graft on Mid-Term Patency and Clinical Outcome

open access: yes
Background: The radial artery (RA) is widely used as a conduit in coronary artery bypass grafting. Its fascial layer provides mechanical stability but may reduce graft flexibility and promote kinking when routed over the margo acutus during right ...
