Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

Predictors of early graft patency following coronary artery bypass surgery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background: The long-term success of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) is dependent on graft patency after the operation. Early occlusion (within the first week) affects the long-term results.

A Soft, Flexible Implant for Wireless Photothermal–Pyroelectric Neurostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A replication strategy is used to enlarge the exposed surface area of barium titanate within flexible films with embedded carbon nanotubes, enabling efficient photothermal‐pyroelectric stimulation. Polar crystalline nanosheets show superior performance in guiding neural progenitor cells toward neuronal differentiation.

Surgical reconstruction of a thrombosed permanent vascular access for hemodialysis formed by a vascular access graft

open access: yesВестник хирургии имени И.И. Грекова
Introduction. The problem of maintaining the patency of the permanent vascular access (PVA) for renal replacement therapy (RRT) is extremely relevant due to the high incidence of its thrombosis and the need for repeated surgical interventions to ...

Mr BMT Achieves Systemic Macrophage Replacement With Preservation of Tissue Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microglia replacement by bone marrow transplantation (Mr BMT) enables systemic replacement of tissue‐resident macrophages. Despite persistent macrophage and tissue remodeling across multiple organs, core biological functions and innate immune responses remain preserved, supporting long‐term maintenance of organismal homeostasis and the therapeutic ...

Association between Plasma Fibrinogen Level and Saphenous Vein Graft Patency

open access: yes, 2014
Background: Fibrinogen is related to the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. The inflammatory process in atherosclerosis may cause an increase in plasma fibrinogen level.
