Succession in standardization: Grafting XML onto SGML

Proceedings from the 2nd IEEE Conference on Standardization and Innovation in Information Technology (Cat. No.01EX530), 2002
Succession in standardization is usually a problem. The advantages of improvements are weighed against those of compatibility. If compatibility considerations dominate, a grafting process takes place. This process need not lead to compatibility. Successful skin graft in patient with generalized scleroderma

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1962
INDOLENT ULCERS caused by sclerodermatous changes in the skin usually occur on the fingers, toes, knees, or elbows, and infrequently occur elsewhere. Successful Therapy for a Patient With Aortic Graft Infection Without Graft Removal

Annals of Vascular Surgery, 2011
Following Bentall surgery, aortic graft infection can be a serious complication with high mortality rates. The recommended treatment for aortic graft infection is to explant the graft; however, because of the high risk and costs involved, this might not always be an option.

Successful Use of Rib Grafts for Cranioplasty in Children

Pediatric Neurosurgery, 2001
Numerous materials are available for use in cranioplasty including bone, plastics and metals. Rib grafts as a construct for cranial reconstruction offer several advantages: autologous bone source, a formable platform, low infection, regeneration at the donor site and high fusion rates.

Successful grafting of tissue-engineered fetal skin

Pediatric Surgery International, 2016
Fetal repair of spina bifida results in improved outcomes and has therefore become a standard clinical procedure in some highly specialized centers. However, optimization of the procedure technique and timing is needed. Both might be achieved by facilitating the procedure using laboratory-grown fetal skin substitutes.

Matched Elastic Properties and Successful Arterial Grafting

Archives of Surgery, 1980
Clinical results from medium- and small-caliber arterial bypass grafts are unsatisfactory. Since elastic properties of grafts tested experimentally have been correlated with patency results, the compliance of the human femoral artery was compared with grafts currently in use: human saphenous vein (HSV), knitted Dacron (DAC), glutaraldehyde-treated ...
