Structure and Ionic Conductivity of Halide Solid Electrolytes Based on NaAlCl4 and Na2ZnCl4

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A solid solution forms in the Na2ZnCl4‐type phase when Al³⁺ substitutes in the Zn²⁺ tetrahedral site; correspondingly, Na+ vacancies form in the Na1 site, allowing for Na hopping. The highest ionic conductivity reaches 1.5*10−5 S cm−1 at 25 °C at the edge of the miscibility gap.

In‐Materia Neuromorphic Properties Induced by Locally Denatured Regions in Sulfonated Polyaniline Networks Incorporating Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study creates a dedoped region of Au nanoparticles in the electrically conductive polymer (sulfonated polyaniline), thus integrating nonlinearity and charge accumulation into the conduction pathways of the disordered network system. This innovation enables room‐temperature operation of a design‐less solid‐state device with sum‐of‐products ...

Moisture Harvesting by the Structure Regulation of Hygroscopic Hydrogel for Energy and Water Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Hygroscopic hydrogels are capable of utilizing the moisture from air, which can transfer the gaseous water to liquid by a surface phase transition. Taking advantage of this water, sustainable water production, thermal management, and electricity generation can be realized.

Vertical Phase Separation in Blended Organic Semiconducting Films and Impact on Their Electrical and Direct X‐Ray Detection Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The composition of blends of 1,4,8,11‐tetramethyl‐6,13‐triethylsilylethynyl pentacene (TMTES) and polystyrene (PS) to be used in Organic Field‐Effect Transistors (OFETs) is optimized to achieve and enhance thin film crystallinity and a reduced charge trap density at the semiconductor/dielectric interface.
